About Samsung Galaxy S5:

The Samsung Galaxy S 5 is the successor to the popular Galaxy S 4. The 5.1" Super AMOLED display has a resolution of 1080x1920. The Galaxy S 5 is powered by a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB RAM. Internal storage comes in at either 16GB or 32GB, with a microSD slot up to 128GB. The 16MP camera is capable of 4K video recording and real time HDR photos. Along side the camera flash is a heart rate sensor, which can be used with Samsung's S Health software. The S 5 has a 2800mAh battery providing power.

Carbon ROM is a custom rom developed for Samsung Galaxy S5 , it is based on Android kitkat 4.4.3,very smooth and stable it is not any official android update for Galaxy s5 throw it contain all the latest features of Android Kitkat.

PRE REQUIREMENTS:

• We recommend you to take a backup of the data in your phone. After installing the ROM, all the files and data will be deleted. Then you can restore it from the backup file. 
• SMS – Backup Messages
• Contacts – Sync with Gmail App 
• Videos, Images, Songs and Other Files – Copy to internal / External SD card or System 
• Then maintain minimum 60% charge in your phone’s battery. This will help you to don’t get switched of your phone. 
• And disable any antivirus and firewalls too.

How to install Carbon Rom on Galaxy S5 :

1. Download Carbon Rom and Gapp on your Computer.
2. Connect your device to PC and copy both the downloaded files to external SD card.
3. Now, Switch off your device and enter into Recovery Mode to do so: (Press and hold “Volume Up + Home + Power button” for a few seconds, until the screen flashes and then release all the buttons.)
4. Now Select “wipe data/factory reset“, then select “Yes” for confirmation and wait till the data wipe is complete.
5. Now, go to CWM recovery main menu.
6. Now Select “wipe cache partition” and after that, select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
7. Now come to the recovery main menu and select “Install zip from SD card” and give a path where you have placed Carbon Custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy S5.
8. As you select the installation will start and it will take 3-5 minutes to complete so don’t hesitate and let the installation to be completed.
9. Similarly, you can follow the previous step to flash “Gapps“.
10. Once the flashing process gets over.  Select “++++Go Back++++” and then choose “reboot system” to reboot your phone.
11. Thats it ,The phone will take 10-15 minutes to start and initialize all the services & apps
